We should use Leonard Weaver as our tailback with Schmitt as fullback and Julius Jones as a spell back! Weaver is a big back (6'1", 243 lbs.) with GREAT feet, deceptive speed with the power to break through tacklers and the agility to make guys miss in the open field. while i respect him a lot, I think Holmgren made a mistake and should have used him as a tailback instead of a fullback. after watching him catch those passes and race down field for TDs this year, he is definately worth holding on to. give the guy a chance to run the ball behind Owen Schmitts blocking!

SEAHAWKS = SUPERBOWL XLIV CHAMPIONS!

Weaver is still an unproven player with an injury history. If he is looking for a big money $$$ contract then see ya later. The FB position isn't one where you should overpay players. And we already have other players that can fill the void if he was to leave. I like Weaver, but not enough to pay him top dollar to retain him (if that's what it would take). You can find a decent FB in the draft in the later rounds (5th - 7th) to replace him if need be. I kinda like the FB out of Houston as a project.
Mark Hafner, Houston
Height: 6-2. Weight: 235.
Projected 40 Time: 4.74.
Projected Round (2009): 7.
1/5/09: A pass-catching fullback, Mark Hafner caught an amazing 86 passes for 907 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2008.

Leonard is a monster in the making. My only question is whether or not Mora Jr. and Knapp's offenses are fully capable of utilizing his services. Seems that Schmitt might be a better fit down the road for the road grating type responsibilities that'll be asked of our FB's going forward.
