Seahawks Trim Roster

By Tuesday, teams around the league must cut their roster down to 75 players. The Seahawks started early, cutting four players from the roster on Sunday.

These cuts are only the first round; by September 5, the roster must be trimmed even further to 53 players. In other words, the front office will be extremely busy this week.

Of the four cuts made Sunday, there aren’t any huge surprises. Seattle waived defensive tackle Kevin Brown, fullback Dan Curran, linebacker Shane Simmons, and tight end John Tereshinski.

Not one of the four players stood out (to me, at least) during any of the preseason games and were definite underdogs to make the 53-man roster.
