I agree with this opinion and have made a similar arguement yesterday in response to the Foxsports article calling for his trade (bad article in general). Another point to make is that the Seahawks shouldn’t take depth at wide reciever for granted this year considering recent history.

Deion Branch can produce if he stays healthy, but the reality is he’s never been able to stay healthy – he nearly got put on IR in 2004 and has been a mini-bust in Seattle. He hasn’t been a playmaker in Seattle and cutting him won’t hurt the Seahawks at all.
