About the Author
I exspect another defensive game like the one against the 9ers. They have knowshane as a out the only playmaker right now…otherwise gaffeny.offensively a good game for hass…
Your prediction looked good until the turnovers and mistakes began…
In their opening drive, Seattle’s offense managed 65 yards on 13 plays. Hasselbeck was 5/8 for 55 yards until he threw an interception inside the 5-yard line. Before the interception, Justin Forsett had a 6-yard touchdown run that was nullified by a holding call on Sean Locklear.
The defense, in their first series following the interception, surrendered only 30 yards before forcing a punt. Unfortunately, Walter Thurmond muffed the catch and Denver took control at Seattle’s 13-yard line.
After those mistakes, Seattle was never able to recover and Denver easily cruised to their first victory of the season.
What happened to the defense today?
There are so many things that went wrong today. Without watching the game again, I’d have to say the biggest problem was our pass rush.
Without pressure on opposing quarterbacks, the defense will continue having problems getting off the field. Blitzes were ineffective and no one on the defensive line could get to Kyle Orton.
You couldn’t even tell Chris Clemons was on the field today.
