After making some big, surprise moves in free agency, the Seattle Seahawks seem to have a specific plan going into the 2010-11 NFL season. The Seahawks’ hiring of former Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable, and the former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, the team made moves to get certain players that have played for either of them. Quarterback Tavaris Jackson, and Wide receiver Sidney Rice, were both picked up from the Vikings and have played under the offensive guidance of Bevell. OL Robert Gallery, and TE Zach Miller, have both played under Cable’s guidance. The’ ‘Hawks will presumably have a much easier time transitioning the new players picked up in free agency, being that the players will are used to the styles of coaching from their old coaches. Will the Seahawks’ plan work? Will they be able to transition their young, new players into a new offensive style? Who knows! But one thing is certain…we all look forward to seeing if Pete Carroll & Co. have made all the right moves.
Overall free agency grade: B+
