The Seahawks received two pieces of bad news on the injury front today.
- The groin injury that (apparently) has been slowing down Robert Gallery will require surgery. He’s expected to be out for 6 weeks. At least we know who he played so poorly this week. Paul McQuistan is expected to start in his place. I was expecting Carpenter to move over from RT again, but that isn’t the case this week.
- Sydney Rice’s shoulder injury is worse than the team has been letting on. Rice has a torn labrum, and injury that will require surgery before it’ll heal completely. The injury isn’t season ending, though, as it’s possible to play through the pain. This injury is similar to, but slightly more severe than, the one the Ben Obomanu had last year.
