Something to chew on during the game today… The Seattle Seahawks have made a case this season that total offensive yards has little to do with wins and losses. In both their wins this season, the Seahawks have been out gained by the opposing team. In 2 of their losses, the Seahawks have out gained the opposing team, including doing so by 159 yards this last week against the Bangles.
On the other hand, the Seahawks are 2-0 when winning the turnover battle, and 0-4 when losing the turnover battle. (They also lost the only game, against Cleveland in which the turnovers were even) This trend may seem obvious, but it actually flies in the face to 10 years worth of historical data, that suggests that turnovers are unrelated to wins and losses.
