Seahawks Mock Draft

With Matt Flynn and Jason Jones on board and filling major holes in the Seahawk’s roster, the list of team needs and priorities is now greatly changed. With that in mind, I decided to put together a new Seahawk-only Mock Draft to give everyone an idea of the types of players the Seahawks may be looking at in next month’s draft.

This Mock is has 2 big keys. First is a first round trade in which the Seahawks move down for more picks, and 2nd is a heavy investment in the LB position, as I having the Seahawks filling 2 starting jobs in the first 3 rounds of the draft.

I’m going out on a limb here a little bit by having the Seahawks also take a QB in the middle of the draft. I just think that if Osweiler falls to them, he can be a nice project QB who can run the scout team in 2012, be the backup in 2012, and then if he develops to his potential, give the Seahawks an alternative to Flynn the following year. It’s just nice protection for team at the game’s most important position.

Trade: Seahawks trade down, trading the 12th pick in the draft to the Cincinnati Bangles for pick #21, plus picks in the 3rd, 5th and 7th rounds
