The draft was over by less than a minute when the first reports of the Seahawks getting an UDFA signed came in. The names came in fast and furious for about an hour before the Seahawks finally announced their list of 10 players who were added to their 90 man roster.
- WR Phil Bates, Ohio University
- CB London Durham, McNeese St.
- OG Rishaw Johnson, California (Pa.)
- WR Jermaine Kearse, Washington
- TE Sean McGrath, Henderson State
- OT Jon Opperud, Montana
- DB DeShawn Shead, Portland St.
- DE Monte Taylor, Cincinnati
- WR Lavasier Tuinei, Oregon
- K Carson Wiggs, Purdue
The group appears underwhelming at this point. It’s hard to imagine any of these players making the 53 man roster for next season, but the same could have been said a year ago and that was hardly true, so try not to judge this group too harshly.
Doug Baldwin, Jeron Johnson and Richardo Lockette were all undrafted free agents a year ago.
