@dcrockett17
Finally someone else recognizes the same thing about BMW that I have been saying all year. Matt threw the man open, TJ won't throw the ball to anyone (but Rice) unless they are wide open. The problem last year wasn't BMW, I was at plenty of games and he was in position to make playes all the time, TJ quite frankly just sucked it up.

Now that being said, if the team has better prospects this year, more power to them.

I also am curious to see what happens to Golden, the guys doesn't even show up to practice, and it is quite evident that he needs as much practice as he can get.

@dcrockett17 I can't disagree about Tate's chances over Butler, though Butler is more polished than Tate. Tate showed flashes last season, but he also would disappear for long stretches of the game even though he was out there for almost ever snap. I think the Seahawks expected him to be further along in his development after 2 seasons.

Great article! I been waiting for a good breakdown of the position. Also, Webber is gone. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6843/raymond-webber

You'd have to consider Tate a HUGE favorite over Butler. Tate would really have to suck AND Butler would have to be unbelievable to beat him out.

1. Seattle spent significant draft capital on Tate, recognizing that he was a super-raw prospect who would need a good two seasons to develop. The team needed to see improvement last season, and saw it in the 2nd half. If he regresses though, all bets are off.
2. The whole "he got beat out by an undrafted rookie" thing works for the fans, but isn't all that meaningful. They understand that Baldwin was NFL ready, which is why they practically stood outside his window holding up the radio playing "In Your Eyes" in order to get him to sign.

For my money the three guys with the highest hill to climb are: Lockette, Durham, and BMW, probably in that order.

Lockette for the reasons you laid out. Having said that, we know the team likes him.

To my mind, Durham has replicated his college career so far. A huge fan favorite, he did nothing at Georgia. He's hurt a lot and has never produced at any level.

BMW's issue is injury. The team can afford not to wait on him. As for the separation issue, they knew he doesn't get separation when they signed him. He needs a QB who will throw him the ball to in coverage. Hell, that's the whole point of BMW.
