The game is just under 90 minutes away, and the two teams have announced their active rosters, or mmore accurately, announced the players who are not active for this week’s game.
Seahawks Inactives: Kregg Lumpkin, Byron Maxwell, John Moffitt, James Carpenter, Golden Tate, Jay Howard, Greg Scruggs
Cardinals Inactives: Lindley, Byrd, Toler, Powell, Westerman, Kelemete, Ohrnberger
The big name that’s not included here is Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch. His back problems have cause considerable worry for members of the 12th man, but they appear to be, as least mostly, not an issue now. Lynch should start, but likely will be slightly limited in today’s game, and share carries with rookie Robert Turbin.
Another big name on this list is RG John Moffitt. He was supposed to be back from his elbow surgery by now, but he continues to be limited in practice, and is now inactive for today’s game. I’m beginning to wonder if things were more serious than are being told, or if this is just a case where the emergence of Sweezy at G is allowing the Seahawks to take it slow with Moffitt and wait for him to be 100% before getting him back out there.
For the Cardinals, there are no surprised here. For them, the real problem is the name that isn’t on this list, but isn’t on the active roster either, and that would be OT Levi Brown. Brown is already on IR and out for the season.
