Free Agent Lists: WR and TE

When I posted my list of top Wide Receivers in the draft on Sunday, Hawk Eye asked me in the comments section if there was a list of free agent wide receivers and tight end available. Well, it took me a couple days, but here I’ve compiled just the list he was asking for.

I’ve broken it down both by position and by wether or not they are they are going to be an unrestricted free agent (UFA) or a restricted free agent (RFA). RFA usually require draft pick compensation being given to their previous team.

This is a pretty long list. Expect between 30-50% of them to be resigned before free agency starts. There are also some big names that could really help the Seahawks.

Tight End – RFA

Tom Crabtree Jeron Mastrud
Jeff Cumberland Mike McNeill
Dorin Dickerson Jake O’Connell
Ed Dickson Michael Palmer
Brody Eldridge Bear Pascoe
Tommy Gallarda Logan Paulsen
Dan Gronkowski Dennis Pitta
Steve Maneri Zach Potter

Tight End – UFA

Martellus Bennett Anthony Fasano Brandon Myers
Dallas Clark Daniel Graham John Phillips
Jared Cook Clark Harris Leonard Pope
Fred Davis Ben Hartsock Richard Quinn
Tony Gonzalez Todd Heap Dante Rosario
Dustin Keller Will Heller Alex Smith

Gary Barnidge David Johnson Benjamin Watson
James Casey

Wide Receiver – RFA

Anthony Armstrong Donald Jones
Brandon Banks Marlon Moore
Jarrett Boykin Aldrick Robinson
Austin Collie Emmanuel Sanders
Richard Goodman LaQuan Williams

Wide Receiver – UFA

    Keith,
Thank you for doing that. Wow, that is a huge list. John Schneider stated previously he is only looking to sign young free agents coming off their first contract. You could probably eliminate all players beyond 4-5 years in the NFL. I don’t see the Seahawks adding any older players like Braylon Edwards next year. However, I really could see the Seahawks signing a free agent WR or TE in addition to the draft. It only makes sense, because it usually takes the WR or TE two to three years to develop and we need some proven firepower.

I thought about adding the age for every player, then realized that it would take time that I didn’t have last night, so I didn’t. I’ll try and add that on any future lists.
