Everyone in Seattle loves Russell Wilson. Actually, most people who aren’t 49er fans fans love Russell Wilson. So when Wilson does an interview and talks about his skills and what it means to a an NFL QB, people take notice.

To help launch his new MMQB site, Si’s Peter King came to Seattle to speak with Wilson. Watching Wilson speak with passion about being a leader and what it takes to make it in the NFL is refreshing.

"The QB has to lift the other 10 guys in the huddle up and make them believe”"

Wilson clearly get’s it. He’s just so early to root for.

I embedded the online portion of the interview below. If it doesn’t work on your browser, justclick the link above and you can view it there. The editing makes me think there’s more to the interview that will come out at another time. I sure hope so.

You can also tell that King is a fan of Wilson which is pretty cool. Guys like King usually work very hard to stay neutral on teams and players in order to avoid the appearance of bias, but he clearly can’t help himself with Wilson. Not that I blame him, Wilson is a very capitivating personality.

There’s also a predictable ending from Wilson: “Go Hawks!”
