Chris Clemons will be placed on the active roster. While this doesn’t mean he’s ready to play, it does mean that he wont need to be out until week 8, which was the alternative. The team had to choose between the active roster and the PUP, and that choice has been made according to an NFL.com report.

Brady Quinn has been cut, which should surprise no one. Jackson was clearly better throughout camp and the preseason.

TE Darren Fells was cut, as was DTs Sealver Siliga and Jaye Howard. Siliga being cut demonstrates how little value John Moffitt had when he was traded.

The big news was that FB Michael Robinson was cut yesterday. Word today is that FB Derrick Coleman has been told that he made the team.

There was also report this morning that CB Antoine Winfield will not be on the 53 man roster. He hasn’t been cut though. The team is apparently trying to trade him before the deadline. We’ll see if this happens. This is the wrong time of the offseason to try and work a trade.

I’ll update this as more cut are reported throughout the afternoon.

2:46 pm Winfield wont be traded. He’s going to retire.

3:25 pm Still no word on final cuts. Reports are that Winfield had many interested teams, but chose to retire instead. His retirement saves the Seahawks 500k of cap room that they weren’t expecting when they decided to cut him.

3:50 pm – Seattle cutting Howard and Siliga make more sense now. They’ve traded for a big DT from Jacksonvelle.

4:13 pm – Cuts finally in:
