Police estimated that around 700,000 fans attended the Seahawks victory parade on Wednesday.

To put that into perspective, that number is greater than the number of citizens who live in the city of Seattle.

USA Today said that the parade “might have been the largest gathering in Seattle history.”

The Seahawks Super Bowl title represents the city of Seattle’s first major sports championship since 1979.

Needless to say, the city was long overdue for a little party. Or a gigantic one.

It was closer to a million. With many 100′s of thousands more who set out to attend. But were unable to make it there due to the pushed to the maximum Ferry and Commuter Train systems. As well clogged freeways and surface streets.
