Almost a week ago, the Seahawks finished up their three day rookie minicamp where the front office got to really see what they picked up. Unfortunately, only 53 players can have a slot on the final roster and 59 players received an invitation and even then a select group will continue to play out their first season.

There are some rookies who are going to have to step up and put on their big boy pads because of the offseason losses that occurred this season. Here are some rookies who have the highest potential to obtain roster spot this season.

    I also like Norwood…they’ll put him on special teams along with Pierre Lewis…both may get into the rotation,,,Marsh will make it in the DL rotation switching from DE to DT (he’s going up to around 270′s at playing weight) Pinkins will end up on special teams as well…possilby UDFA Bailey on special teams (S USC)…the surprise this year might be OT Gilliam (Penn St) as an UDFA…Carol was surprised at how good he looked at rookie mini-camp…and now with the unfortunate health problem with Garrett Scott and him being waived….Gilliam may have a real shot as a backup

      The other guy Seattle signed as a walk on after rookie mini-camp has a shot at OL…possibly backup guard…His name is Nate Isles from North Carolina A&T…6’5 348 at camp…has played at 324…here’s his info from NC

      Breakdown: Adds to what will be an experienced offensive line in 2013…Has tremendous size and strength…Enters the 2013 season as the No. 1 right tackle on the depth chart…A tremendous athlete who is so versatile he even played defensive tackle as a freshman…Has played guard and tackle during his career at A&T…Aggies landed him over some Division I schools…Has great feet, outstanding reach and his strength at the point of attack is excellent…His wingspan is an impressive 104 inches…Can bench 225 pounds 20 times and his max on the bench is 355 pounds…Over the spring, his 335-pound power clean is tied for second highest on the team…His 510-pound squat max is the fourth highest among offensive linemen…Has played 31 games with 20 starts.
