If you ask four different Seahawks fans to critique Seattle painter Aaron Hazel’s latest works of art, you will probably get the same answer — awesome.
Hazel, a life-long Seahawks fan, was recently featured in an article by seattlepi.com, and told them that his paintings are a mix of his passion for both sports and art:
"“I wanted to interpret my love of sports onto canvas,” Hazel said. “I like to evoke a sense of energy and athleticism into my paintings, with loose and varied brush strokes. Plus I believe there is a direct correlation between athletics and art, and my pieces seek to address that.”"
Hazel’s official Facebook says that he paints a variety of different things, not just sports figures. The page says “I paint what inspires me. I paint what inspires you. I am constantly learning, growing and evolving as an artist.”
On Hazel’s website, you can find a range of different topics of his art, including “People,” “Landscapes,” and “Cityscapes.”
Each of the paintings are incredible, unique in their own way, and they are beginning to gain attention — even from the subjects of the paintings themselves.
According to the article, members of the Seahawks 2013 squad, including Golden Tate and Kam Chancellor, have already purchased at least one of Hazel’s paintings.
The Seahawks paintings took Hazel about a year to complete. There are 26 of them in total, each of which are shown below.
Enjoy. They truly are amazing.
