The Denver Broncos have overtaken the Seattle Seahawks as the favorites to win the 2015 Super Bowl according to Las Vegas sports-books. They’ve passed them in most Power Rankings as well.

With 4-1 odds, the Broncos are ahead of the second place Seahawks (6-1) and third place 49ers (8.5-1). The Dallas Cowboys (11-1) come in fourth and are followed by the San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots, and Green Bay Packers, all 12-1.

Vegas odds shift nearly every week for each team, although the Seahawks and Broncos have stayed fairly consistent for the past year. A home loss to the Cowboys was reason enough to lower the Seahawks odds and spike the Cowboys up significantly. At one point in the offseason, the Cowboys were as high as 75-1 underdogs, meaning a $100 bet would win $7,500.

A 5-1 record and the impressive road win will surely entice bettors to throw down some hard-earned cash on the Cowboys.

Injury Notes:

With Seattle suddenly battling injuries to key stars, it won’t be shocking to see the team continue to struggle, relative to their 2013 dominance of the NFL. LT Russell Okung was diagnosed with a torn labrum and sprained shoulder and has decided to keep playing. He’ll have to focus on not only preventing a more serious injury, but also improve his discipline as his penalties have hurt the offense in key situations.

"When you sprain your shoulder, your labrum’s involved and there’s some stretching and stuff in there,” Carroll said. “I don’t know how far that went but he came right back from it so he’s had full strength and support and all of that so he’s OK. – Pete Carroll"

This comes on top of injuries to C Max Unger and TE Zach Miller, who has missed the past two games after having surgery on his ankles to remove bone spurs. Miller is one of the best blockers the Seahawks deploy and his and Unger’s loss has been evident with the poor play of the entire O-Line.

All Pro CB Richard Sherman was banged up in the loss to the Cowboys and MLB Bobby Wagner continues to struggle with a toe injury that saw him sit out parts of the past two games.
