Marshawn Lynch Acting Out Does Not Help Things

So Marshawn Lynch lost a buddy.

More from Seattle Seahawks News

He’s so upset, he was refusing to get on the team bus for the airport. That’s a strong indication the Seattle Seahawks running back is really upset.

And dab-nabit, he should be.

As a player in the NFL he isn’t prepared for trades, cuts or demotions. These things rarely happen because this is a game-first, then a business wherever it fits. This is no unfair!

The only person on the planet who won’t recognize the sarcasm above is Lynch himself. The Seattle Seahawks have done everything they can to please this guy. He even held out for more money, Seattle lifted the fines for not going to camp AND they paid him. Lynch was shown respect and the Seahawks expect the same.

Unfortunately the team is dealing with a man who is quite insecure.

When Marshawn held out during camp, speculation was he wanted more cash up front. I’m sure that played a part. The other part was Lynch hearing the footsteps of Christine Michael.

As insecurities set in, Lynch wanted Seattle to show him how important he is. It’s not a secret how the Seahawks feel about Michael, a.k.a. the future.

Lynch knows as well.

So we have the bus incident and Twitter comments because his pal was unceremoniously shoved 3,000 miles east. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities that Lynch’s time may be running out as well.

Obviously the Seahawks don’t want to lose a top-5 back. But his trade value may force their hand.

Next: 5 things to takeaway from the Rams game

The Seahawks have sent a strong message that no player is above the team. Marshawn needs to be sure his personal views are more important than his career. The 3-3 Seahawks are still a favorite and will win games. Next week he may find himself with a 1-5 team in year two of a five year plan.

Maybe that’s where he’d rather be.

GO HAWKS!
