Seattle Seahawks Injury News: Michael Bennett, Kam Chancellor, Bobby Wagner

The Seattle Seahawks have really been hit hard by injuries the past few weeks and it’s clear that it will be a while before the team is at or anywhere near 100%.

DE Michael Bennett was added to the injury watch on Thursday when he did not practice. The good news is that he’s probable to go against the Carolina Panthers along with safety Kam Chancellor. The Pro Bowl safety sat out Wednesday’s practice but was a full participant on Thursday and Friday.
Derrick Coleman, who broke his foot in warmups against the Rams will likely miss 4-6 weeks and is one of seven players listed as “out” for Sunday.
Jordan Hill, Byron Maxwell, Zach Miller, Max Unger, Bobby Wagner and Bryan Walters are all ruled out for Week 8.
Although Miller remains sidelined after ankle surgery, TE Luke Willson will likely join Cooper Helfet and bring some depth to the position.

Originally it was thought that CB Byron Maxwell may recover fast enough to do the same for the Seahawks secondary, but that won’t be the case. Tharold Simon has recovered from an ankle injury and will play.
With FB Derrick Coleman out, Robert Turbin will fill in at the position, meaning we’ll get to see more of second year running back Christine Michael.
WR and kick returner Bryan Walters is out after suffering a concussion. It appears that WR Paul Richardson might tae over those responsibilities for now. That’s good news because I’m sure we don’t want to see Earl Thomas back there again.
