NFL Projections for Week 12: Cardinals Win Two Straight in Seattle?

facebooktwitterreddit

Our Week 12 NFL projections are in and this marks the first time that the Seattle Seahawks have not been picked unanimously to win their matchup. Half of the panel chose against the Seahawks despite playing at home in CenturyLink Field. If you remember, Arizona was the only team to beat the Hawks at home last season.

Paul Novak

Prediction: Seahawks defeat Cardinals

Why: There is no way I’m picking against the Seahawks. Especially with the game being played in Seattle. Bobby Wagner is back, Kam Chancellor is the healthiest he’s been all year and Marshawn Lynch is firing on all cylinders. If Russell Wilson can start making some plays in the passing game then this could be what Seattle needs to finish off the season in a very impressive way.

Prediction: Falcons defeat Browns

Why: I’ve got the Falcons beating the Browns this week. I’m the only one that thinks the Browns will lose at home this week but have you seen them play lately? The Browns are the most inconsistent team with a winning record. I’ve been waiting for them to slide all season and I think this might be the start.

Mitch Quesada

Prediction: Cardinals defeat Seahawks

Why: Because the Cardinals are a much better team. I hate admitting this and I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see the Seahawks beating the Cardinals right now. Arizona has proven they are the real deal and they could end Seattle’s season with a win. Again, I pray the Seahawks prove me wrong but the Cardinals are too good to pick against right now.

Prediction: Rams defeat Chargers

Why: The Rams are a weird team that has shown they can beat the best and lose to not-so-good teams. However, I think they are pumped up right now after dominating the Broncos last week and the Chargers aren’t playing well. I like the Rams in this upset.

Colin Floyd

Prediction: Seahawks defeat Cardinals

Why: If Seattle does not win this game, they can all but kiss their playoff chances goodbye. Beast Mode is firing on all cylinders while Russell Wilson is not. This will be a defensive showdown with two effective running backs and two game managers at QB. The matchup closely resemble last week’s against the Chiefs. If Seattle’s defense (which gets back Bobby Wagner) can force a few turnovers and stop Andre Ellington, then they will have a shot at gaining a game on the current NFC West Leaders.

Prediction:

Why: Saints defeat Ravens

The entire New Orleans roster is having a lackluster year. But at 4-6, they still have shot to win the division (Atlanta is also 4-6). Joe Flacco and company are enjoying a productive season, but their squad does not possess nearly as much talent as the Saints. If Drew Brees can rally the troops, then he could finally have another solid win under his belt in 2014.

Thomas Oide

Prediction: Cardinals defeat Seahawks

Why: I went 2-11 last week. So by that logic, picking the Cardinals means that the Seahawks will win. Right?…

Prediction: Patriots defeat Lions

Why: The Detroit Lions will be prepared for New England’s one-two punch of LeGarrette Blount and Jonas Gray. What they won’t be prepared for: the still-golden arm of Tom Brady.
