Seattle Mariners troll NFL, support Seahawks in awesome tweet

The Seattle Seahawks dominated the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night, winning 35-6 to improve to 11-4 on the season.

More from Seattle Seahawks News

The win kept the Cardinals from winning the NFC West on their own turf and kept Seattle’s hopes of a division crown and No. 1 seed in the NFC very much alive.

Most of the NFL took notice, and so did the Seattle Mariners, the Seahawks cross-town Major League Baseball companions.

The Mariners and Seahawks have been known to publicly support each other in the past, but after the Seahawks win on Sunday, the Mariners official Twitter account posted one of their best tweets of the year:

The Mariners perform their spring training in Peoria, Ariz., about five miles from Glendale, Ariz., the home of the Arizona Cardinals and the site of Super Bowl XLIX.

The tweet was posted only hours after Seattle’s big win over the Cardinals.

That being said, the Mariners know something special is brewing in Seattle.

So does the rest of the league — or at least they should if they’ve been watching the Seahawks at all the past couple of months.

After starting the season 3-3, the Seahawks have exploded to win eight of nine and improve to 11-4 with a chance to win the NFC West next week at home against the St. Louis Rams (6-9).

It’s a good time to be a Seattle fan.

The Seahawks have every chance to defend their Super Bowl title from last season and the Mariners have improved their roster while looking to improve on last year’s 87-75 record.

It’s awesome to see the love and support of these teams. Who knows what their social media specialists will post next, but this tweet has to be one of the best I’ve seen this year.
