Seahawks Will Wear Home Blue Uniforms for Super Bowl 49

The Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots today in Super Bowl 49.

After winning last year’s Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos as the away team and wearing their white away uniforms, the Seahawks now go for Super Bowl win number two in Glendale, Arizona.

As the NFC is the home team in this year’s big game, Seattle had the choice of which uniform they would wear. As most would expect with their legendary home field advantage, they are going with the all blue’s for Sunday’s game.

The choice just fits, as many ticket reselling sites have revealed data that shows that residents of Washington state have purchased three times more tickets than Massachusetts residence. Those Patriots fans that have purchased tickets have also found it more difficult than expected to attend this years game. Snow storms have hit the East Coast particularly hard.

One fan that has been to 38 Super Bowl’s, who is attending todays game said that he has never seen as many fans of one team’s as he has this week. Much like the 12th Man did last year in East Rutherford, NJ, this could turn into a home game for the Seahawks.

If Seattle’s amazing fans can replicate what they do at CenturyLink, it could be a long game for Tom Brady and the Patriots.
