There’s only been two teams to lose a Super Bowl to win it the following season, the last team to accomplish it was the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Expect a lot of writers and experts to make sure you have that embedded in your head for the rest of the year, but don’t get discouraged. The Super Bowl is a year away but the Seahawks don’t look that far ahead. They look at ‘what’s next’, which would be free agency, the NFL draft, preseason, and then of course focusing on going 1-0 every week.

The Seahawks will have their hands full just trying to get back to the playoffs. [table id=24 /]

As of now, the Seahawks own the fourth most difficult schedule in the 2015 season with .555, which is kind of premature with the conclusion of the season ending a couple of months ago. I don’t look into the ‘strength’ of the Seattle Seahawks schedule that much due to injuries that can occur, free agent additions, or trading for pieces that a team is lacking.

For instance, there were three teams to increase their win total by four wins over the 2013 season and three teams that finished with four wins less than in 2013. The Texans improved by seven wins going 9-7 in 2014 after a 2-14 record in 2013. You just don’t know where the wind will blow. That’s why I want to go more in-depth with the Seahawks schedule.

One thing that I do know for certain are the quarterbacks that the Seahawks will see. Here’s a list of quarterbacks that they will have to prepare for in the 2015 season bearing any injuries. [table id=25 /]

With Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, and Jeremy Lane all banged up and DB’s testing free agency, the 2015 season could be the biggest challenge for this bunch since being together. Getting back to the postseason is one thing, overcoming injuries/surgery is another.

How much of a challenge will these quarterbacks be? Let’s take a look. [table id=26 /]

Some people might think the quarterback record is an awful way to judge a performance, which I can agree with, there’s much more than a win loss record, trust me. Of the 13 quarterbacks the Seahawks will face, 9 of them have a winning record. 3 of those 13 quarterbacks have been selected number 1 overall. Also 3 of the 13 are Super Bowl winning quarterbacks.  However, since 2012 there is a comfort level when the Seahawks square off against quarterbacks that have won it all. [table id=27 /]

This will be the Seahawks most important offseason in terms of getting healthy and player acquisitions in order to fill the voids of depth that will be testing free agency.
