The Seattle Seahawks have a very talented roster, and they will be looking to win another Super Bowl this season.  Each position group will have a lot different players competing against each other during training camp, which starts at the end of July.

The Seahawks have 90 players on the team heading into training camp, and by the time the season starts that number will be down to 53 players plus 10 on the practice squad.  Right now the roster is very deep and well-rounded, with almost every position filled with elite players.

Let’s take a look at the top 5 position groups on the Seattle Seahawks heading into the 2016 season.

 5: Running Backs

Despite losing Marshawn Lynch to retirement this offseason the Seahawks’ running backs are still going to be a very talented group.  They are filled with young, skilled players who are going to be eager to make plays and prove they belong in the NFL.

This group is led by Thomas Rawls, and as long as he comes back from his injury full speed, he should be the starter at running back.  Rawls ran for 830 yards in only 7 starts last season and surprised us all with his superb talent.

Christine Michael is the only veteran player in the running back room, and if he can become more consistent and take care of the ball, then he will push Rawls for playing time.

The Seahawks also selected three running backs during this year’s NFL draft.  CJ Prosise is a former wide receiver and will be the favorite to be the 3rd down running back.  Alex Collins draws similarities to Beast Mode, and he could very well beat out Christine Michael for the backup spot.  Zac Brooks is a sleeper and could make the roster as a backup and special teams contributor.

Overall, this group has a lot of talent, and they will all continue to improve throughout the season.
