Seahawks Injury Report: The Seattle Seahawks come off a much needed bye week healthy and strong, and ready to face the Atlanta Falcons.

Normally it isn’t considered a good thing to have an early bye week. Every one knows that mid season or even later in the year is ideal. However for Seahawks players, the bye week was perfectly timed this year.

With QB Russell Wilson nursing two injuries, a high ankle sprain and a knee sprain, WR Tyler Lockett fighting back from a knee injury, and RB CJ Prosise dealing with a broken wrist, the week 5 bye was exactly what the team needed to get back to full force.

Here is who was listed as questionable for the game on Sunday.

DE Frank Clark

S Kam Chancellor

RB C.J. Prosise

DT Garrison Smith

Clark had been a surprise addition to the list earlier this week as he was not hurt prior to the bye. After feeling a tweak in his hamstring at practice on Monday, the team decided to be careful with him. He is considered day-to-day, and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

The other surprise on today’s injury report was the addition of safety Kam Chancellor. He is listed as questionable due to a groin injury. Chancellor had not been on the list at all this week. It seems he injured his groin during practice on Thursday and is a game time decision.

DT Garrison Smith is listed as questionable with an oblique injury.

RB Thomas Rawls and DT Quinton Jefferson are both listed as out for this week. Neither Rawls nor Jefferson was expected to play this weekend. Rawls still needs a few weeks before his leg is fully healed, and Jefferson had surgery on his thumb this last week.

Everyone else who had been on the list at the beginning of the week, including DT Jarron Reed who was limited on Wednesday, was listed as full practice and seem ready to go.

Next: Atlanta game is major opportunity for Seahawks

As for the Atlanta Falcons, they are getting many of their injury playmakers back from injury. Most importantly Julio Jones, who did not practice earlier in the week is said to be full strength for Sunday.

Let’s admit it, we’re all excited to see a Jones/Sherman match up.
