The Seattle Seahawks injury report is fairly clean, but the Seahawks will face the Lions while missing a key piece of the defensive line.

The past few weeks, the injury report for the Seahawks has been quite small. RB C.J. Prosise has been the only consistent name on the list. However this week, DT Tony McDaniel was added to the list. McDaniel suffered a concussion during last week’s game against the 49’ers. Head coach Pete Carroll said McDaniel concussion didn’t respond well and he didn’t clear the protocol.

McDaniel has been a big part of the Seahawks defense since returning to the team in August. He has started 11 games and amassed 43 total tackles. Rookie Jarran Reed, Athyba Rubin, and newly signed free agent John Jenkins will have to fill the void McDaniel leaves.

Still on the list, as he has been for weeks, is RB C.J. Prosise. Prosise is still recovering from a shoulder injury. Although it would be a surprise for Prosise to return before the end of the season, when ever that may be, leaving him on the roster shows the team must have some hope for him to be back on the field.

For the Lions, there are 4 players on their injury report. LB DeAndre Levy, T Riley Reiff, WR Andre Roberts, and C Travis Swanson are listed as questionable for tomorrow’s match up. All were limited in practice this week. Levy has missed 11 games this year due to injury, but was on the field the last 4. He is listed with a knee injury this week.

Not an injury, but a change just the same, the Seahawks signed Pro Bowl returner Devin Hester to the roster this week. Hester was brought on board due to the season ending injury to WR Tyler Lockett. He will play on Saturday doing both kick and punt returns. The Ravens released Hester earlier this season.
