NFL Draft Update: Running Backs

facebooktwitterreddit

This is a fairly weak RB class this season. Alabama’s Richardson is likely the only in top 15, and I don’t see more than 2 RB going in round 1. Other than Richardson, don’t expect to find someone who can carry an offense. The entire class seems to be best suited for a running back by committee” approach.

For instance, When I look at Washington’s Chris Polk, I don’t see a guy who would normally be #3 RB on a draft board. He’s a good college back, but dosn’t profile out to be a big difference maker at the next level. The problem is that I look down the list trying to find someone who’s better, I just can’t find anyone. For reference, if you look back to the ’08 draft, Polk would have been the #7 RB on my board that season.

And here’s the fullbacks. Clearly a position not worthy of it’s own blog post.
