NFL Draft Preview: Backs
By Keith Myers
This year’s draft is quite good at RB. In today’s game of “running back by committee” the position isn’t valued like it once was, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t talent here.
Trent Richardson is a very good player and, even though i’ve rated him at the 12th best player in the draft, I’d be shocked if he made it past the 7th pick.
As for the Seahawks, I expect them to look at a RB to backup Marshawn Lynch at some point in this draft. It probably wont be early, but a mid round selection isn’t out of the question. It all depends on if they move back in round 1 and get some extra mid-round picks. There’s a lot of value in that range, and not just at RB.
