Optimus Prime Ready To Go For The Seattle Seahawks This Week
By Keith Myers
As the Seahawks get ready to take on the Lions this Sunday, a lot of talk has been revolving around the obvious matchup of the game’s best receiver, Detroit’s Calvin Johnson, and one of the game’s top corners, Seattle’s Richard Sherman. In honor of that matchup and Johnson’s Megatron nickname, I took to twitter yesterday to ask a very important question:

Well, it seems that someone with the team noticed, and passed the comment along to Sherman. Just before 1:30 this afternoon, Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin posted this on twitter:

That caused me to look at Sherman’s twitter profile on my tweet deck, and guess what’s on there?
Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman’s twitter profile; all decked out with his new Optimus Prime moniker.
It seems that Sherman all ready for his matchup with Johnson. But seeing him take up the Optimus Prime moniker left me wondering who the other other key players should be in this “Tansformers” game. Here’s my picks:
Decepticons (Lions)
- Starscream – Matthew Stafford
- Skywarp – Ndamukong Suh
- Reflector – The Lion’s offensive Line
- Thundercracker – Nate Burleson
Autobots (Seahawks)
- Bumblebee – Russell Wilson
- Prowl – Earl Thomas
- Sideswipe – Marshawn Lynch
- Ironhide – Kam Chancellor
- Springer – KJ Wright
Also, Brandon Browner’s new nickname needs to be Voltron. Not a transformer, but I don’t care. This needs to happen.
