Seahawks-Cardinals Live Game Chat

facebooktwitterreddit

Every game is important at this point in the Season. The Seahawks simply can’t afford to get tripped up by a weaker team, at least not again, especially at home. The Seahawks control their own destiny in terms of getting into the playoffs, and it needs to stay that way.

The one thing the Seahawks haven’t shown is the killer instinct needed to really beat up on bad teams. We saw it against the Rams, and the Dolphins, and the Lions, and even these same Arizona Cardinals back in week 1. It’s an alarming trend, and one that the Seahawks need to end. The one other thing that all of those losses having in common though is that they were all on the road.

Today, the Seahawks have the 12th Man at there backs.

Live chat will start about 5 minutes before kickoff. We’ll be doing it a little different this week. I’m going to do my best to avoid it feeling like a play-by-play. Instead I’m hoping to talk about playoffs, the roster needs, the play of the new CBs, etc. Lets get some real discussion going.

Seahawks inactives: WR Charly Martin, CB Marcus Trufant, CB DeShawn Shead, Cb Ron Parker, G Rishaw Johnson, T Mike Person, DT Jaye Howard

The biggest name that wont be playing actually isn’t on that list. Brandon Browner has started serving his suspension this week, and wont be available until after the end of the regular season. He will be replaced in the starting lineup by Walter Thurmond. Marcus Trufant is also out, and his snaps will be taken by Jeremy Lane.

Another name not up there that will be missed is LG James Carpenter. His knee forced him to be placed on IR this week. McQuistan moves back to LG from the right side, and John Moffitt gets the start at RG.

I should also note that Malcolm Smith will get the start at weak side LB in place of LeRoy Hill. Hill has been bothered by an ankle injury, but likely wouldn’t have started over Smith this week even if Hill had been healthy. Hill is active, and will be available if needed.

Cardinals inactives: QB Kolb, WR Byrd, CB Fleming, G Kelemete, T McQuistan, TE Sperry and DE Talley
