Hello fellow 12’s!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nick for his pleasant introduction yesterday and echo a little of what he said. Mr. Keith Myers was an amazing editor and leader and he will greatly be missed by all of us at 12th Man Rising.
Nick and I have enormous shoes to fill, but I know we are both excited to be in this position while the Seahawks participate in one of the most anticipated seasons in their young franchise.
Nick talked a little about himself yesterday, so I would like to take this opportunity to let you all know a little about me!
Name: Mitch Quesada
Location: Phoenix, Arizona. Student at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Favorite Seahawk: Russell Wilson
Favorite All-Time Seahawk: Matt LaBounty (I have to, he is family!)
Favorite Non-Seahawk: C.J. Spiller
Metaphysical Position on the Football Field: Corner back. A position that requires an incredible amount of athleticism — most run faster going backwards than the average man does running forwards! That has never ceased to amaze me.
Favorite Football Movie: Remember the Titans
My Sack Dance Would Be: The Wobble
When Not Writing, I: Watch movies and TV, play board/video games, spend time with my girlfriend and get as much sleep as possible.
On Twitter I am: A newbie. Still trying to figure it out but you can follow me @mitchTquesada
Fun Fact: I am a black belt in the art of Shorin-Ryu and I have wanted to be a sportscaster since I was eight years old.
With that, I hope you have learned a little more about both Nick and myself as we prepare for what is sure to be an exciting year of football.
