2: Miles Austin (via FA from Cowboys): This pick at No. 2 is two-fold.
1) Can’t stand the ‘Boys and we already made them mad with the McDaniel re-signing. They are straight frustrated with their management and nothing would make it worse than Austin heading to the Northwest. Dallas fans want a Super Bowl, not another of their best to go to a Super Bowl (repeat) contender.
2) For the Hawks, Austin would be a wonderful veteran presence and good compliment to Harvin, Baldwin, Kearse and whomever else. He’s already proven he can be productive in an offense as a No. 2 or 3 and has an attitude the 12’s could really embrace, so this is in my mind a perfect fit.
The questions are could Austin stay healthy and could the Seahawks get him at a decent price? Gotta imagine he wouldn’t mind getting out of “Big-D” and all that drama.
