An unconfirmed report out of Washington this morning said that Russell Wilson recently spoke with President Barack Obama about his desire to become the “nation’s next President.”

Per that anonymous report:

"Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson spoke on the phone with President Obama about becoming the nation’s next President early Tuesday morning. Wilson spoke with enthusiasm and made it clear that he knew the position would be a significantly greater responsibility than owning an NFL franchise."

In late February, Wilson made headlines for stating that he wanted to own either a baseball or football team at some point after his career as a football player is over.

Wilson has also tossed around the idea of playing baseball during or after his football career.

You never say never,” Wilson said regarding the idea.

Apparently Wilson will never say never to politics either.

I guess it isn’t that surprising that one of the most ambitious men on the planet wants to lead the country. His resume looks good and he has been recognized as a great leader.

It looks like the people in Washington seem to like him, too:

Anyways, like I was saying, Wilson has a great resume that matches the skill-sets needed to be a great President.

He led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory. How many Presidents can say they did that?

Are you on to us yet? Wilson never spoke with the President, nor is he contemplating becoming the next P.O.T.U.S.

In the words of Dr. Sheldon Cooper, “Bazinga!
