Lynch ran an electric 4.64 40-yard dash last month to help his draft stock, but he might slip to the final round because of benchings for violating team rules at South Florida and a number of penalties he made that seemed uncalled for. On the field, however, Lynch has shown that he can be an explosive defensive end that could even become an outside linebacker if Seattle wants to move him. He used his speed to record 11.5 tackles in the backfield to go with five sacks last season. Helping the league’s No. 1 defense could mature Lynch quickly if the Seahawks don’t look in another direction with their final selection.
