The Seahawks 2014 regular season schedule was released by the NFL on Wednesday night and it is filled with games that need to be circled on the calendar.

Seattle’s quest to repeat as Super Bowl champions will begin at CenturyLink Field on Thursday, Sept. 4 against the Green Bay Packers, the first time the teams have met since the “Fail Mary” game in 2012.

Seattle will get to raise their first Super Bowl championship banner against the franchise that won the very first Super Bowl 47 years ago.

The Packers-Seahawks game will also serve as “Kickoff 2014,” the first game of the NFL season.

In another intriguing matchup, the Seahawks will host the Denver Broncos in a Super Bowl rematch on Sept. 21 in Week 3.

Seattle’s highly anticipated matchups with their division rival San Francisco 49ers will be on Thursday, Nov. 27, in a Thanksgiving Day game at San Francisco’s new Levi’s Stadium and on Dec. 14 at CenturyLink Field.

Seattle has not played on Thanksgiving since 2008.

The Seahawks will wrap up the regular season on Dec. 28 at home against the St. Louis Rams.
