He was the fourth Seahawk drafted and the second receiver picked by Seattle in the 2014 NFL Draft and his name is Kevin Norwood.

Norwood is a big receiver from Alabama who is used to winning (three national championships with ‘Bama) and knows how to play the game.

At 6-foot-2, he has the size the Seahawks need at receiver and he also has the speed (4.48 40-yard dash) to fit into a very fast offense.

Norwood was the second receiver taken by the Seahawks, following Paul Richardson from Colorado on Friday in Round 2.

But Norwood is unique in his own regard. He is not your typical prospect and is older than most of the prospects entering the NFL.

He is going to be 25 in September.

Seems pretty old for a new NFL player, but do you know why he is entering the draft so late? Because he stayed in school to obtain both a BA and a Master’s degree (in Sports Management) before entering the draft.

Successful, smart, and talented. He should fit in nicely in Seattle.
