For most all of the same reasons Coleman was mentioned, McCullers makes sense for Seattle.

I can’t imagine it’s easy to pass up the size of this kid (6’7″, 352 very large lbs), but his height is why I’m not sure he offers the same leverage at the nose. Would be an interesting prospect at any of the other inside positions though, or could be groomed into a similar situational role to what Red Bryant presented in the run game. Outside, he wouldn’t need quite so much leverage and could just focus on holding the edge for a play or two at a time.

Yes, McCullers intrigues me, especially if he slips deeper into the 4th where the Seahawks could scoop him up with their third and final pick of day 3. The idea of drafting Dominique Easley in the first round and the pick of Justin Britt make it obvious the Seahawks have deeply positive thoughts about the SEC (who doesn’t but the Hawks are actively into the SEC right now). The Hawks also talked to former Viking big man Kevin Williams last week, which leads me to believe they are actively looking for McCullers’ type.

Could be in the works.
