Draft Pick Additions

  • Round 7, Pick 12, (227) — Kiero Small, FB, Arkansas

I’m a little higher than most on Small. He is a gritty-little-thumper-type-dude who got some terrific tutelage under new Razorback coach Bret Bielema within a physical offense.  It’s very difficult to find Small’s compact yet powerful breed anymore in the NFL and apparently you can never have enough protectors for Marshawn Lynch. We all have a sentimental connection with Derrick Coleman and haven’t really had a chance to see Spencer Ware at length yet, but I think it’s a three-for-two situation at FB this Fall and it actually wouldn’t surprise me to see Small come out on top of the heap with Coleman backing up and Ware on the practice squad. Or that could flip the other way with Ware stepping into the starting role and Small heading to the practice squad.

Draft Grade: B-

Undrafted Free Agent Additions

  • TE Chase Dixon – Central Arkansas

I’m not giving out grades for UDFA’s but Dixon is ultimately a space-filler for in-camp numbers.
