2. There is still a lot of guaranteed money on the table for Lynch.

Lynch is in the middle of a four-year contract which is worth about $30 million. He is scheduled to make $5 million in 2014 and $5.5 million the season after that.

This season, Lynch will be the fifth-highest RB in the league, behind Arian Foster, Matt Forte, LeSean McCoy and Adrian Peterson.

Lynch apparently wants a better contract from the Seahawks, which is why he is reportedly not going to attend minicamp next week, but his current contract set-up seems pretty good.

The worst case scenario for Lynch is that he will finish his time in Seattle making $10.5 million over the course of two years and will be a free agent at the age of 30. That’s a sweet deal for a running back in his prime.
