Richard Sherman will not fall victim to the infamous Madden curse!

Sherman’s confidence and work ethic simply won’t allow it. He is all about facing challenges, calling them out for what they are, and overcoming them.

Not to mention, he has the luxury of being part of The Legion of Boom, which is, arguably, one of the most talented defensive secondaries in NFL history. That being the case, he has a bit more margin for error than many who have graced the cover of Madden.

Though I doubt he has given it much thought, if he has, he has probably found a way to use the potential curse as yet another motivational tool.

Yes, another motivational tool to go along with all the others: his inherent need to prove that he is worth the massive contract he just signed, his not being drafted until the fifth round, his feeling betrayed by Jim Harbaugh while at Stanford for not better promoting him to NFL scouts, his ongoing debate with Patrick Peterson (among others) over who is the best corner in the league, and, of course, his never ending desire to completely humiliate Michael Crabtree and the 40-whiners whenever possible.
