Mathews Week 1 Stats: 40 yards rushing, 1 TD, 2 recs

Mathews is an interesting situation.

Eddie Lacy and James Starks looked decent against the stingy Seattle defense. Ryan Mathews will probably vulture a touchdown somewhere during the game against the Seahawks.

Also, expect a lot of checkdowns from Philip Rivers because even though Rivers says he’s going after Richard Sherman, does anybody think that is actually going to happen?

Just because of that he’s worth starting.
