However, the Broncos didn’t quite let the Seahawks run all over them this time. The game was getting pretty close after a touchdown was thrown by Manning in the 4th quarter to bring the score from 17-5 to 17-12. After a failed touchdown drive by Russell Wilson and the offense, a field goal had to be kicked bringing the score to 20-12 with 2:30 left to go.
Peyton Manning being Peyton Manning, put together a tremendous two-minute drill touchdown drive and gave the 12th man something to worry about with a close score of 20-18 with 45 seconds left in the fourth.
The Broncos went for it and converted to tie the game at 20-20.
Denver received the ball first in overtime but failed to get in the endzone. Seahawks ball. Wilson strapped up his helmet and ran onto the field. After some complete and incomplete passes, the ball was handed to the No. 1 running back on the team: Marshawn Lynch. Of course he turned “beast mode” on the highest intensity and punched it in to give the Seahawks the 26-20 win.
Lynchfinished Sunday’s game versus the Denver Broncos with 124 total yards. But the stats on the internet won’t tell you about one loss he suffered against the Broncos.
In the third quarter, Lynch caught a 14-yard pass from Wilson and ran out of bounds at the Denver 48-yard line. Broncos safety T.J. Ward was there to make sure Lynch went out of bounds, and when Lynch attempted to shake him off, Ward grabbed at anything he could to keep his balance.
Unfortunately, he grabbed Marshawn’s hair.
So Lynch would be ready to fight right? No, he turned beast mode off, he bent over and picked up the lock with what can be interpreted as bemused interest. He looked it over and ran back on the field.
But I’m sure he’ll take a touchdown, or win over a dreadlock.
