Ever since the “rant heard around the world,” Seahawks Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman has been everywhere. From appearing on the cover of Madden 15, to embarrassing Skip Bayless on ESPN, and even starring with his mother in the famous Campbells Chunky Soup commercials.

Now the loud and talented Stanford alum from Compton can say his story was told on ESPN’s E:60.
Finally a national audience will come to learn what all of us in Seattle have known for years. Richard Sherman isn’t just a loud-mouthed thug that incites anger and frustration out of his opponents and their fans.
The son of a garbage collector, Sherman found his way out of Compton and graduated from Stanford University. As if that wasn’t enough, he’d become a Super Bowl champion with the Seattle Seahawks just a few short years later.

Since entering the NFL in the 2011 draft, being selected in the 5th round and 154th overall, Sherman has worn a chip on his shoulder that could be seen as an excuse for his behavior. But all he’s done is led the league in interceptions, become the face of arguably the greatest secondary in NFL history, and parlay his success into a $57 million extension. Not bad for a 5th round draft pick that every team passed up on in 2011.
