Well, it’s Sunday! There are plenty of great football games on today. First off, I wouldn’t be shocked if the 49ers lost to the Chiefs in Santa Clara and the Cardinals beat the Broncos in Denver. The Rams play the Eagles in Philly and they’ll likely lose as well. This week presents a good opportunity to gain a game in the NFC West standings.
The Seahawks won’t be one of the teams playing today. They’ll play tomorrow in Washington DC on Monday night football. So until then we’ll have to hold you over with some Seahawks links from all around.
Russell Wilson renews his rivalry with Kirk Cousins
Before becoming workout partners leading up to the 2012 NFL Draft, and then being selected in the third (Wilson by the Seahawks) and fourth (Cousins by the Redskins) rounds, Wilson and Cousins were Big Ten rivals.
He’s with me in the game, on my shoulder every week
The Seahawks strong safety isn’t reliving his team’s 2012 wild-card playoff win over the NFC East foe, no. He’s watching highlights of former Redskins safety Sean Taylor, the team’s 2004 first-round draft pick who Chancellor says he has tried to model his game after.
Patriots release Kenbrell Thompkins, don’t active Brandon Browner
The Patriots didn’t activate Tyms or cornerback Brandon Browner in time for today’s deadline, so neither is eligible to play tomorrow. The Pats must choose to either activate or release Browner and Tyms on Monday.
NFL Players Banned From Wearing Beats Headphones on Camera
Thanks to a new marketing deal with Bose, NFL players will no longer be allowed to wear Apple’s line of Beats headphones around television cameras, according to Re/code. The restriction is in place for TV interviews during training camp, practice sessions and game day, running from before the game or event through 90 minutes after play has ended.
Seahawks always thrive in prime time
Under Pete Carroll, the Seahawks have responded to the spotlight with even more pizzazz. They are 10-1 in prime time (which now has expanded to Thursday and Sunday nights), with the lone loss coming on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, a 13-6 defeat to the 49ers.
