Despite the Seattle Seahawks “only” winning by ten points over the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football, the game was more lopsided than it would seem. Penalties absolutely ruined what would have otherwise been an absolute blowout and entertaining beat-down of the Redskins.

If I started a conversation with someone and without mentioning who won, or the final score, it would probably go something like this:

"ME: I can’t believe the Seahawks got called for 13 penalties! Percy Harvin had three TD’s called back because of them."

"YOU: Damn! The Hawks lost?"

"ME: No way. They still kicked their ***."

Right?

Well luckily for us a few Seahawks still had amazing performances and the defending champs managed to pull out what should have been an easier, more entertaining win – although I hear no win is easy in the NFL, especially traveling across the country to the East coast.

Here are my Top Three Performers from MNF:

Honorable mention – Cliff Avril, who made Kirk Cousins’ feet fly over his own head on this play.

BOBBY WAGNER. A. The Seahawks defense played absolutely lights-out football last night. I can only think of two explosive plays that the Redskins pulled off and both were by DeSean Jackson.
Bobby Wagner was all over the field and had the only sack on Kirk Cousins. Three of his eight tackles were for a loss and his play was a major reason that Redskins RB Alfred Morris only had 29 yards and a 2.2 ypc average.
. LB. Seattle Seahawks
