We’re already a quarter of the way through the Seahawks regular season. Unbelievable, right?
With their only loss coming on the road in 100+ degree heat to the San Diego Chargers, fans could argue that the Seahawks aren’t the best team at the moment. To be the best, you have to beat the best. And the Chargers did that.
I’m one to argue that if the game was played ten times, with each team having home-field in half the games, Seattle would come out victorious at least 70% of the time. But that might just be because I’m a bit biased for the home team.
I’d like to see where NFL fans stand on the matter. Are the Seahawks still considered the best team in the NFL after five weeks of play? Has another hot team such as the Chargers, Broncos, Bengals, Cardinals or Eagles taken that image?
Just food for thought:
The Seahawks currently rank 1st in both offensive and defensive rushing per game, gaining 167 yards per contest, yet only allowing 62! Redskins Pro Bowl running back Alfred Morris was held to just 29 yards on 13 carries last night. Defense wins championships, as was especially proven last year with the NFL’s top offense and defense facing off in the Super Bowl.
