The Dallas Cowboys are coming to town this week to face the Seahawks. Judging by the Seahawks injury news, they probably won’t be at full strength for the matchup of one-loss teams. Normally, seeing the Cowboys, especially in Seattle wouldn’t be much cause for concern. This years Cowboys team looks to be pretty good though. Dallas is 4-1 thanks to a much improved defense and the play of RB DeMarco Murray.

Thursday’s practice saw Kam Chancellor sit out with the ankle issues that we highlighted last week. Joining him was C Max Unger, who is listed as “day-to-day.” Unger suffered a foot injury (sprained foot) in Monday’s win against the Redskins. He left the game but returned even after the team listed him as doubtful to return.
It appears that there is a strong chance that Unger won’t be able to go against Dallas as the Seahawks signed Patrick Lewis, a second-year C from the Cleveland Browns practice squad. To make room for Lewis, the Seahawks waived Josh Thomas.
Lewis has played with the Seahawks, although it was in just one preseason game. The former Texas A&M center was released among the final roster cuts this preseason.
Percy Harvin also sat out Thursday because of a thigh injury but he is expected to play. The Seahawks have managed to use Harvin’s skills beautifully so far, often making just the threat of him touching the ball benefit guys like Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch.
Notes:
Marshawn Lynch returned to practice after missing the previous two.
Zach Miller remains out while recovering from his ankle surgery to remove bone spurs.
T Alvin Bailey sat out again with an oblique injury.
Russell Okung is “getting close” to recovering from an arm injury suffered against the Denver Broncos as well as missing the offseason and some of training camp with foot and toe surgeries.
