A lot of non-Seattle Seahawks fans think the Pacific Northwest is the only place you’ll find 12s.

Well, those non-Seattle Seahawks fans are very, very wrong.
The Denver Broncos, whom Seattle beat in Super Bowl XLVIII, are America’s most popular team, according to the poll.
The Broncos dethroned the Dallas Cowboys, who have held the “America’s Team” title for six-consecutive years. But if this poll is accurate, America has a new team — and they aren’t from the Lone Star State.
The list of the 10-most popular NFL teams in the U.S., according to voters, looks like this:

The Seahawks weren’t even in the top-10 most popular teams at this time last year — they came in at No. 12 on the list. In 2010, the Seahawks were ranked as the second-least popular team in the NFL, coming in at No. 31 in the popularity ranking. The only team less popular than the Seahawks that year were the Jacksonville Jaguars.
As might have been predicted, success can seriously affect a team’s fanbase, whether for good or bad.
One thing football fans agreed on in this poll was that the Seahawks are the favorites to win Super Bowl XLIX this February.
The poll was published Tuesday morning, when the Seahawks held a 3-2 record and sat alone in third place in the ultra-competitive NFC West.
In any case, 28 percent of those asked to give their Super Bowl favorites in the poll picked the Seahawks, the highest percentage vote of all NFL teams.
Nineteen percent of voters picked the Broncos and nine percent picked the 49ers.
Who were the least popular teams in the NFL?
Those looked something like this:

The Jaguars and Tennessee Titans tied for last place in the poll, though that is familiar ground for the Jags. They have been ranked No. 28 or worse in each of the past 10 seasons, and have held the title of “America’s (Least Popular) Team” for five-straight years.
Back to the Seahawks, the 12th Man is alive and well-versed across the nation.
One of the most popular teams in America is also one of the most talented ones. For each fan that says they hate the Seahawks, it looks like there are three more supporting the team from Seattle.
