Rams Trick Every Seahawks Special Teamer on 90-Yard TD (GIF)
By Paul Novak
The St. Louis Rams are embarrassing the Seattle Seahawks at halftime, 21-6. Seattle’s defense is struggling and the team looks completely uninterested and lackadaisical.
One play shows this more than any other thus far.
Seattle’s entire special teams unit ran to the wrong side of the field and allowed a Rams returner to run the punt back 90 yards without any opposition whatsoever.
In the first half Rams QB Austin Davis is a perfect 9 for 9 and a QBR of 122.7. RB Tre Mason carried the ball 10 times for 54 yards and a TD.
The Rams came into the game with only one sack on the year and managed to sack Russell Wilson three times in a five play span. On one play, TE Cooper Helfet was tasked with blocking one of the top pass rushers in the NFL, Rams DE Robert Quinn. Quinn completely blew by Helfet and sacked Wilson, leaving no room for shock as to why the Seahawks have only mustered six points against the 1-4 Rams.
The passing game has looked more productive than it had against the Cowboys, even with Percy Harvin gone. Doug Baldwin leads the team with 2 receptions and 58 yards.
